About Uji Time Dessert
Uji Time Dessert opened its first pop up store in April 2016 and is known for its Taiyaki soft serve. The pop up was a great success because of its authenticity. Uji Time Dessert was the first dessert store selling taiyaki soft serve in the Bay Area.
Uji Time Dessert has transformed itself into a full scale dessert cafe, from Fish Cone (taiyaki), black sesame soft serve, lychee ice cream mochi, Matcha Latte, Earl Grey puddings, to Hojicha and Genmaicha ice cream. Depending on the season, Uji Time Dessert offers limited production seasonal flavors, such as strawberry rose and lavender in soft serve or ice cream.
In 2022, Uji Time Dessert expanded its footprint to Seattle, Washington and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Taiyaki is always delicious itβs my favorite thing to get whenever in Japantown. However, a staff member was rude. I asked for one flavor, but instead he gave me a swirl with Ube and another flavor. Not what I asked for. I politely said to him that this was not what I ordered and he rudely looked at me and said βwell thatβs inconvenient..β and crumpled the receipt up in his hands. He went and made me the correct order but this time forgot the filling. It was a simple mistake, yet he treated it as if it was my mistake. Aside from him the service is 10/10 and food as well.

Got the Ube soft serve and a fish cone. One of the best desserts Iβve ever had in my entire life! Also got a strawberry mochi and a pineapple sauce serve in a cone. Both were so good! I would definitely get the fish Cone again something about it is so special and unique. It looks cool, taste even better!

not as good as it used to be. the ice cream was icy and the matcha flavor was very faint.

I ordered taiyaki matcha and sakura white peach ice cream (here you order with a POS system). The presentation was interesting with taiyaki in top and the ice cream is not too sweet. You can taste the matcha slightly, but itβs a bit hard for me to identify what the taste for the sakura peach.
